Macau, November 22, 2016 – The Macau Incentives & Special Events Association, also known as MISE, today launched the Macao Event Planners’ Guide 2017/2018 in another of the association’s industry networking event held in China Rouge at Galaxy Macau.
The Macao Event Planners’ Guide (MEPG) is the leading project of MISE, with the aim to create an integrated platform for the MICE industry and business offerings in Macau. While MEPG is the consolidated professional English directory on the Macau MICE Industry for (business) event planners worldwide, it is the first step in creating an Event Destination Brand for Macau with the consolidation of resources and quality services throughout the city, and to promote to the world what Macau can offer.
Interested parties can download this Macao Events Planners’ Guide for free at misemacau.org/eventplannersguide.
The next step for this project is to launch a web portal where potential organizers can browse through event providers and venues as well as sending proposal requests to MISE members. Plans also include the translation of the events guide into other regional languages, such as Chinese and Korean.
According to Ms. Rebecca Choi, Vice President of MISE, “We are very happy for the tremendous support and interest that we have been receiving from the Macau MICE Industry. We are proud to have all major stakeholders participating in this Guide, including several Government Departments. We are confident that this MEPG will be a key sales and marketing tool for Macau as a MICE destination,” adds Ms. Choi.
During the event, which was attended by over 120 professionals from the region’s tourism and events industry, MISE’s Secretary, Mr. Bruno Simões, also gave a review of the activities that were carried out by the Association in 2016 that included 2 industry networking events and the CIS – Certified Incentive Specialist Program which was co-organized with the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE).
Looking ahead to 2017, the MISE team will be working closely with the association’s members for the continuous well being of the Industry and expanding more business opportunities.
